PAST, PRESent, and future…

The Goodies are a Southern California based reggae band founded by Justin Goodman, known as Goodie, and Zan. Their sound blends reggae, rock, ska, and a wide range of other influences, creating a style that is classic fresh and unique.

Originally from Detroit, Justin discovered his love for reggae on a life changing trip to Jamaica at age 14. That experience shaped his musical path and he has spent significant time there ever since, drawing direct inspiration from the culture, sound and island vibes.

Zan, raised in San Diego, was introduced to reggae at an early age through Southern California beach culture and its deep rooted connection to the genre. Growing up surrounded by that sound, she discovered her voice and began her own musical journey. With Southern California embracing a distinct and evolving reggae scene, Zan developed a style shaped by both the culture around her and her personal love for music.

Justin and Zan share lead vocals and  back up harmonies, with Justin also on guitar. Together they write the band’s music, combining distinct perspectives into a unified sound. Their chemistry and shared passion led them to form The Goodies, which evolved from Justin’s original project, Jus Goodie.

Now touring nationally, The Goodies continue to build strong numbers across the United States. With many releases including multiple singles, and a full length album. The Goodies have a solid touring foundation, they have earned a dedicated and growing fan base. Their energy is undeniable in the studio and on stage. Each performance is more than a show. It is an experience.

As they continue to evolve, their sound grows with them. The Goodies bring audiences on a fun, high energy musical journey that celebrates diverse influences, culture, connection, and pure good energy and vibes.
